My Pearson Triton, Jenny, is currently undergoing a fairly extensive rebuilding. I have a blog which details the week to week progress and this site provides a more permanent record that is more easily searched through for specific topics. I owe a lot to similar type websites and my hope is to give back to the growing body of knowledge concerning the saving and restoration of these 'plastic classics'. I have to warn you. If I had really understood what a full restoration / rebuilding was going to cost in terms of time, money and effort, I might have considered the easier route of a bank loan and decent second hand boat. That said, for me, I think it was the right choice. There is just no other way to get a good sailing, classic looking, sailboat customized down to the smallest detail and despite my occasional whining, I have thoroughly enjoyed the process. I only add the warning because it is not a decision to be made lightly. Its a big undertaking.
I have divided the project into sections on the The Project List page. Not all of those sections actually link to real pages yet. They are coming. This website is a learning process for me so I expect some glitches. Bear with me, let me know if you find any errors and I will try to correct them as soon as possible. Work continues and I will fill in the sections as I have something to show.
Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me. I hope you find this site useful; or at least mildly entertaining.
